Middlesex University Postgraduate Scholarships for International Students 2011, UK

Middlesex University is renowned for offering unrivalled support to International students and gives out scholarships and merit awards to International students totaling around £1,000,000 each year.

Middlesex University has a fixed number of International Merit Awards available to all potential postgraduate international students. Awards will be given on a case-by-case basis and successful candidates will have the award amount deducted from their tuition fees when they enroll. Students can apply for these awards through their Regional Office or the International Admissions Office in London. You must apply and receive confirmation of an International Merit Award before the commencement of your studies.
he Alumni bursary is available to all students who completed their first degree at Middle sex and have an offer for a further programme (Note: some programmes are excluded). The bursary provides recipients a 10 per cent reduction in course tuition fees and must be claimed prior to each year of study. There is no application process for the Alumni Bursary and eligibility will be verified at enrollment.

The Academic Alumni Scholarship is awarded on academic merit. It was established to recognise excellent academic achievement and to encourage and assist academically able students to progress to postgraduate study. The scholarship provides recipients a 20 per cent reduction in course tuition fees for every year of academic study.

This scholarship is available to all students who are working towards completing or have acheived their first degree at Middlesex University with First Class Honours, including from study at a partner college. Applicants must go on to enrol upon a course of Postgraduate study within three years of graduating.

The Academic Alumni Scholarship and the Alumni bursary cannot be held in conjunction with any other Middlesex Award or Scholarship. Current Middlesex postgraduate research students who meet the criteria are also eligible to apply. An Alumni Award cash reward may also be considered for postgraduate students who have course funding from other scholarships external to the University at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee.

KAAD Scholarships for Developing Countries: Africa, Asia, Latin America, Near and Middle East (including northern Africa)

The scholarship addressed to Post Graduates and Academics who already gained professional experience and who are interested in post graduation studies or research stays in

Germany. This program is administered by regional partner committees, staffed by University professor and church representatives.

In Scholarship Program 2 sponsor for advanced foreign students from developing countries who are already enrolled in a German university. Scholarship candidates must be

proposed by the corresponding Campus Ministry.

For the scholarship program 1 of KAAD you can apply if you:

come from a developing or emerging country in Africa, Asia, the Middle East or Latin America
have a university degree and professional experience from your home country
want to acquire a master’s degree or a PhD at a German university or do a post-doctoral research project (2-6 months for established university lecturers) at a German university
are a Catholic Christian (or general belong to a Christian denomination). Candidates from other religions can apply if they are proposed by Catholic partners and can prove their

commitment to inter religious dialogue.
For the scholarship program 2 of KAAD you can apply if you:

come from a developing or emerging country in Africa, Asia, the Middle East or Latin America
are already studying at a German University,
want to acquire a master’s degree or a PhD at a German university (applicants for master programs may present their documents as early as during the final semester of their

bachelor programs).
are a Catholic Christian (or – particularly for candidates from the Middle East – belong to another Christian denomination). Candidates from other religions can apply if they are

proposed by Catholic partners and can prove their commitment to inter religious dialogue.
KAAD is working with focus- and partner countries in your region. There are so-called Partner Committees in these countries and applications are channelled via them. Applications

Applications to be tabled in the March-session of the selection board need to
be complete by end of November the previous year. Applications for the
September selection need to be complete by end of June.

Erasmus Mundus: International Master in Management of IT (IMMIT) Scholarships

International Master in Management of IT (IMMIT) is jointly offered by IAE Aix Graduate School of Management, Université Paul Cezanne Aix-Marseille III (France), Turku University (Finland) and Tilburg University (The Netherlands).

Name of the programme: International Master in Management of IT (IMMIT)

Duration of the programme: Two-year Master’s programme

Type of programme: full-time (on campus only, no distance learning)

Start of the programme: September intake only

Language of instruction: English

Best prepatory Bachelor’s: management, economics, business administration, computer science or information systems*

*Students with an engineering Bachelor’s degree can be admitted if their previous education includes IT and information systems.


Scholarships

For Academic Year 2011-2012, approximately 17 scholarships will be available (EU/non-EU). The exact number of scholarships will be communicated in October 2010.

Scholarship students will be awarded with an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship of approx. €20.000 during the 2 years of studies.

International Scholarships for Nigerian students

The University offers scholarships for Nigerian students of high academic standing commencing their studies at the University of Bedfordshire.

To be eligible for the International Scholarships, applicants must be a Nigerian national or permanently domiciled in Nigeria, must have applied for a course of study and hold an unconditional offer for a course at the University of Bedfordshire. The International Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit.

If you wish to be considered for this scholarship you will need to apply. Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at the University of Bedfordshire.

Please note that you can only be awarded ONE University of Bedfordshire scholarship.
